THINGS TO CONSIDER
TIME COMMITTMENT
Please take into consideration the huge commitment needed to be on the Cheer team.
CLMS Cheer comes first, not second, and not a co-commitment.
If you are on an outside team, depending on your schedule, you may be selected for JV.
You need to be a team player. You need to give 100% ALL the time.
You need to know that the best interest of the team is bigger than one person.
You must keep your grades up and behave properly at all times.
You must come to school every day and not be tardy. Attendance matters!
Cheer team members are role models. It is a privilege to be on the team.
FINANCIAL COMMITTMENT Cheerleading is an expensive sport, and making the team comes with several financial obligations. Below is a breakdown of the estimated costs for the upcoming season. Uniform Costs (Due mid to late April via Varsity Spirit or CLMS Webstore)
New Members: Approx. $450 for a custom uniform (skirt, bodysuit with name/logo and rhinestones, briefs).
Returning Members: May use last year’s uniform if it still fits correctly. Some may need additional new items.
Loaner Uniforms: Available upon request but are not custom-fitted and do not include names or rhinestones. Must purchase briefs and other items on your own. A loaner agreement must be signed before the fitting.
Camp & Spirit Wear (Due by May 16 via CLMS Webstore)
Cheer Camp (July 28-29 at CLMS): $205 per cheerleader.
Cheer Shoes: $30-$100 (Practice pair and performance pair).
Cheer Socks: $10 (White no-show, black crew, and white crew).
Sports Bras/Undergarments for Uniform: $15-$50.
Additional Items: More may be added once the cheer season is finalized.
Optional Expenses
Cheer Jacket: Approx. $100.
Cheer Sweats or Leggings.
Cheer Backpack: Approx. $80-$100.
Miscellaneous Items: Additional expenses may arise for assemblies, dress-up days, and other team activities throughout the year.
Competition Team members who make the Competition Team will have additional expenses for competition fees and supplies. Note: All costs listed are estimates and may change once finalized.
FUNDRAISERS
The entire team will participate in a few fundraisers throughout the year such as 2 Clothing Drives and 2 See's Candy Fundraisers to raise money for program supplies such as poms for assemblies, pink poms for October, poms for parade, signs, flags, music, bows for clinic, snack/water for practice, items/supplies for assemblies and cheer class, boom boxes and cords, items/supplies for cheer camp, class contest awards, practice awards and incentives, bonding activities, banquet awards, banquet decorations and more! We cannot have a successful program without these fundraiser events.
Competition Team members will have an addition fundraiser event to cover competition fees and supplies. Blast fundraiser.
Please consider everything before committing to trying out for the team. If you have questions, please reach out Thank you
